Kathmandu Heritage & Spiritual Tour
Today you will explore some of the most important cultural and spiritual sites in the Kathmandu Valley, many of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Kathmandu Old Town (Durbar Square Area)
Wander through the historic heart of the city, once the royal palace complex of the Malla kings. This area is rich in traditional Newari architecture, intricately carved wooden temples, courtyards, and lively street scenes that reflect centuries of history and living culture.
Pashupatinath Temple
One of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world, Pashupatinath sits on the banks of the Bagmati River. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is an important pilgrimage site where traditional cremation rituals take place. The atmosphere here is deeply spiritual and provides insight into Hindu beliefs about life, death, and rebirth.
Boudhanath Stupa
One of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, Boudhanath is a center of Tibetan Buddhism. Pilgrims circle the massive dome spinning prayer wheels, chanting mantras, and offering butter lamps. The surrounding monasteries, shops, and rooftop cafés create a peaceful yet vibrant setting.
