DAY 1

Arrival in Leh (3,500 m)

  • No long rides.
  • Airport pickup.
  • Transfer to hotel.
  • Acclimatization day — essential at this altitude.
  • Light walk through the Old Town and visit to Shanti Stupa.
  • Overnight in Leh.
DAY 2

Leh & Surroundings (Acclimatization Ride)

70 km | 3–4 riding hours | up to 3,800 m

DAY 3

Leh / Nubra Valley (via Khardung La 5,359 m)

  • 120 km | 5–6 hours
  • Ascent to Khardung La (5,359 m), one of the highest motorable passes in the world.
  • Spectacular views over the Karakoram range.
  • Descent into Nubra Valley (~3,100 m).
  • Finish in Hunder / Diskit.

Overnight in Nubra.

DAY 4

Exploring Nubra Valley

80–150 km | 4–6 hours

Free exploration day:
  • Diskit Monastery
  • Sand dunes of Hunder
  • Optional ride to Turtuk village (near Pakistan border)
  • Altitude range: 3,000–3,200 m

Overnight in Nubra.

DAY 5

Nub / Pangong Lake (via Shyok or Wari La)

  • 170–200 km | 7–8 hours
  • One of the most scenic and remote stretches of the journey.
  • Mountain curves, Shyok River landscapes, remote Himalayan
    villages.
  • Finish at Pangong Lake (4,350 m) — the iconic turquoise high-altitude lake extending into China.

Overnight near Pangong.

DAY 6

Pangong / Leh (via Chang La 5,360 m)

  • 150 km | 5–6 hours
  • Climb to Chang La (5,360 m).
  • Vast Tibetan plateau landscapes.
  • Descent back into the Indus Valley.
  • Return to Leh.

DAY 7

Leh / Alchi (Ancient Monasteries)

  • 70 km one way | 2–2.5 hours
  • Ride along the Indus River.
Visits:
  • Alchi Monastery (11th century)
  • Likir Monastery

Return to Leh or overnight in Alchi.

Leh / Hemis
